Miriam King is an author, academic, multi-hyphenate artist, advocate, and activist. King is the Founder of The E.V.E. Consulting Firm. She's taken nearly 20 years of experience as an educator and teaching artist into her work as a consultant. Known as "The Safe Space Maker", King facilitates leadership and workforce development for nonprofit executives, business owners, and their teams while supporting them in navigating complex change.
Her body of work investigates the scope and depth of empathic leadership in the workplace, and is part of an ongoing continuum of research in the behavioral sciences. King believes that the technological advancements in the coming new era(s) will require the diligent preservation of BOTH 'soft' and 'hard' skills. King is passionate about closing generational gaps in the workplace and in culture; the dynamic leader and speaker uses creativity, and critical thinking to engage, empower, and challenge audiences to shift their own paradigms from the inside out.
Her online persona "Auntie Mimi" is inspired by an amalgamation of some of the best mentoring voices she's had since her youth. Her tagline as "The Safe Space Maker" is, "Your safety doesn't guarantee your comfort!" King fluidly works as a creative and critical thinker in every capacity of her practices as an academic and artist. The legacy she desires to leave with the world is centered in speaking the Truth in Love.
