The Creativity Conference was founded in 2019 by Maxim Jago to facilitate the meeting of extraordinary minds - to connect creative collaborators in a place where magic IS real and worldly, wise creators can share practical, actionable, specific advice on the creative process across all disciplines.
We believe that every intentional decision is a creative act, and that the world is better when you make more intentional decisions. This means embracing Truth and making choices about the future of your reality and your impact on the world around you.
By hosting 11 conferences over 7 years, we've brought together dreamers, makers, innovators, and artists from across the globe - in Dubai, Los Angeles, New York, and London - to explore what it truly means to create original work, to be a causal agent, to embrace the universality of the human condition and recognise that we are all, probably, one.
We have recorded over 200 hours of talks by over 200 speakers, and we have asked thousands of attendees the same essential question: What is creativity?he answer, we've found, is: Anything that shapes the future.
Our online Creative Community is free and our events are either free to attend or as accessible as possible.
To sustain that - and to grow - we rely on a small number of people who understand what this work is for, and want to help shape what it becomes.
The Creativity Conference has always been powered by belief - in the speakers who generously share their wisdom, the attendees who bring their whole selves to the room, and the community that continues to grow between events at The Creative Community.
We keep our tickets as low cost as possible and our international online community entirely free because we believe that creativity is part of the universality of the human condition - to live is to create.
To sustain that, we rely not only on ticket sales and partnerships, but on people who understand what this work means - and want to help it grow.
That's where patrons come in.
Our patrons are people who don't just admire creative thinking from a distance. They live it, fund it, build with it, and believe in its power to change the world.
They are founders, philanthropists, artists, executives - people who've sat in the room and felt something shift - and decided they wanted to make sure the room keeps existing - that those kinds of important meetings of minds happen.
Your Support Creates Potential
We work hard to keep participation free or as low cost as possible. Supported by you, we’ll have many more ways to bring inspiration, engagement, and a ‘joie de vivre’ to the world through creative thinking, international and local communities, and education resources;
A free and accessible online community - keeping The Creative Community open and growing for creatives around the world.
New cities and events - bringing the conference to more places and more communities. We already host in London, New York, and Reykjavík. Next we plan to add Dubai, Tokyo, and beyond!
A library of inspiration - maintaining and expanding our archive of over 200 hours of recorded talks and adding our new Compendium of Creativity in partnership with AwareNow Media. The free-to-access, regularly updated online book will contain hundreds of articles, images, poems, designs, interviews, and new creative projects contributed by multi-disciplinary creative minds from around the world.
Emerging voices - supporting, coaching, and providing a platform for new creative speakers who are earlier in their journey but no less worth hearing from.
A new documentary - The production of a documentary exploring human creativity and our relationship with creative technologies. Based on interviews, presentations, and content contributed to Creativity Conference events, the documentary will expand on our understanding of the creative process and ways to create more and stress less.
Expanded media - Supporting our media partners, we will provide interviews, podcast episodes, and regular online and in-person meetings to help coach the next generation of creators.
Establish a legacy - The Creativity Conference is not only a meeting of minds, it is the spirit of a venture intended to inspire many generations to come so that we all choose to be active participants in our own lives and the lives of those we connect with. We promote at attitude of existential JOY that expresses across every order of magnitude, every medium, every aspect of day to day life - making sure that small choices have big impacts.
What do you get in return?
There are no fixed tiers or amounts for patronage. Patronage is a relationship, and we approach it accordingly - we want your guidance, wisdom and experience as much as we need financial support.
What we can offer you in return for your support:
A seat at the table (literally) - an invitation to an intimate dinner with our speakers at future conferences, e.g. in Reykjavik, where the best conversations of the week tend to happen. Sit across from the thinkers, makers, and visionaries who shape the programme, in one of the most quietly extraordinary places on earth.
The Roundtable - a dedicated session in Iceland where patrons, sponsors, and speakers come together not only to listen, but to think, challenge and engage. We’ll be hosting a facilitated conversation about creativity, culture, and what the conference could become - one where your perspective will influence what happens next.
A community that continues - introductions to fellow patrons and to our broader circle of community members and speakers. These are people who share your values and are fascinating to learn from - and they all want to learn too. The in-person conference is a few days a year; the relationships that emerge are for a lifetime.
Your name on it, or not - acknowledgement aligned with your preference. Some patrons value visibility; others give quietly and find meaning in that. We'll always ask, and respect what you tell us.
The story of what you made possible - after every in-person conference, we will give a report with the human detail: The first-time speaker who finally found a platform, the idea that travelled from a room in Reykjavík out into the world, the attendee who came back the following year with something to show, the suggestion you made that took root and transformed the experience for everyone. You deserve to know it happened (and we hope you will be present to witness it).
A relationship - we believe patronage is a multi-year commitment on our side, regardless of what it is on yours. We’ll be staying in touch, keeping you close to what's developing, and making interaction with us as easy as possible.
Perhaps there is something else - if you have an idea or three on the best way for us to connect with you and grow with you, we would love to hear all about it.
This is new territory for us and we want to learn (from you).
