Executive Producer, Social Impact Consultant

Sara Hamilton is a development executive, producer, strategic consultant and industry advocate with 25+ years of experience in marketing and branding, film and media, technology, education, business development, and nonprofit and social impact work.

Over the past few decades, Sara has been fortunate to work with incredible teams and partners — from large global corporations, mid-sized advertising agencies and small tech start-ups to nonprofit organizations, film offices and indie studios and filmmakers — to research, develop, produce, facilitate and promote innovative, results-driven, award-winning projects, including B2B and B2C marketing communication campaigns, presentations and workshops, corporate and commercial video productions, narrative and documentary series and features, educational summits and programs, team meetings and events, and social impact initiatives.

Sara is the founder and CEO of the FilmFlock, where she shepherds engaging film, series and media projects for optimal purpose and profit by connecting filmmakers, production companies, studios, industry partners, film commissions, financiers and philanthropic groups around the world. She’s currently in development or some stage of production on more than a dozen feature and series projects with teams both in the US and internationally.

Sara is also closely aligned with a few of her industry partners. She is currently the Head of Development and Production Services for the innovative entertainment industry platform GREENLIT; an Executive Producer and Chief Strategy Officer with Riveting River Entertainment; and the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Outreach for Entertainment 2 Affect Change (E2AC), where she connects filmmakers to nonprofit organizations and social causes to raise funds, boost awareness, and make a positive impact on communities worldwide.

She’s also a frequent panelist and moderator, recently speaking at “The Sessions” and the Film USA Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival, and The Impact Lounge at the Sundance Film Festival. With her background in marketing, independent film and series production, film commissions and incentives, fiscal sponsorships and product placement, Sara brings a wealth of knowledge on how to develop, package, finance and promote films and series through creative partnerships. She has also developed, curated and moderated both in-person and virtual panels and sessions for film festivals, organizations and events, including The Creativity Conference, Catalyst Story Institute, Lake Placid Film Festival, and Greenlight Women.

As a dedicated advocate for the production industry, Sara serves on the Board of Directors and leads the Fiscal Sponsorship Team for FilmNorth. She was one of the founding members of the Minnesota Film Alliance, a nonprofit group that championed the state’s first production tax credit incentive and established the film office. During this time, Sara also earned her certification as a film commissioner through the AFCI (Association of Film Commissioners International) and established the Driftless Film Office to attract productions to the region.

Sara also devotes time to several nonprofit organizations around the world, supporting research and philanthropic efforts for neurodevelopmental disorders and mental health. She serves on the Research Advisory Board for the MnTic Lab and the Philanthropic Board for the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain. Sara has volunteered and worked for several nonprofit organizations, including the Tourette Association of America and Global Volunteers, and she has given presentations, led workshops, and moderated panels on neurodiversity and inclusive education for groups and organizations at conferences, events and film festivals.

Sara earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism & Communications from the University of Illinois, and a degree in Design & Advertising from the Academy of Art in Chicago. She has achieved multiple certifications through leading institutions and is currently enrolled in the NYU Tisch School of the Arts “Business of Entertainment” program.
